Luis Lezama, who is tied for 10th in the AL with a 1.21 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Havana Sugar Kings to a 7-4 win against the Buffalo Buffalo at Sugardome II. The setback makes Buffalo 35-33.

The Sugar Kings got a big at-bat from designated hitter Luke Rhames. For the game, Rhames went 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Havana a 5-2 lead.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Lezama.
