The Kyiv Cossacks bested the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 11-8, at Bulldogs Ballpark. Rod Garcia was one of the standouts. He went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Kurat Feyzioglu earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 5-2. Kyiv now has a record of 36-31 with the win.

Fernando Vazquez went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Kyiv. The 29-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Justin Roeber. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
