The Portland Beavers beat the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 3-2, at Beavers Park. Danny Gutierrez, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Andy Buhrke locked down his 17th save. Portland is now 40-27, Hanoi 36-32.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Beavers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when third baseman Marco Estrada hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Tony Ramos and made the score 2-0, Beavers. Estrada was 1-4.
