San Antonio Sent Home with 3-1 Loss
No one was more impactful than Kenichi Kanzaki in the 3-1 Brooklyn win over San Antonio. Kanzaki, who is tied for 5th in the AL with a .381 on-base percentage, went 3-4 with 2 home runs. Mike Rodriguez, who finished 5th in the AL in ERA with 3.71 in 2046, was the winner. He's now 5-3. The loser was Justin Kowalick. Brooklyn is now 37-32, San Antonio 33-36.

Brooklyn took a 3-1 lead on Kanzaki's 17th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Justin Kowalick in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Brooklyn to the win.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Kanzaki.
