Starting pitcher George Wilson pitched well enough to help the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs beat the East Haddam Hyenas, 5-3. Wilson, now 7-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Justin Roeber recorded his 10th save for Sudbury.

Josh Freeland hit a 2-run home run off Justin Madsen in the bottom of the first, which put the Blueberry Bulldogs ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Freeland had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Freeland said.

With the win, the Blueberry Bulldogs have a record of 38-29.
