Los Angeles and Hanoi duked it out and the Kings came out victorious.
The Los Angeles Kings picked up a win at Sportsman's Park, knocking off the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 6-3. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Cody Bishop. He played a key role in the triumph. Los Angeles reliever Chris Roberts snagged the win, upping his record to 2-4. Kevin Lowe shouldered the loss.
Nick Olveda, who finished 5th in the AL in doubles with 49 in 2044, took Hanoi hurler Kevin Lowe deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Kings on top, 6-3. In all, Olveda had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
In postgame comments to the Los Angeles Herald, Bishop said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The loss makes Hanoi 27-40.
