The Brooklyn Knights earned a close win over the Yellowstone Super Volcano, thanks in part to Josh Deere. The Brooklyn right-hander, who finished 4th in the FL in slugging percentage with .516 in 2048, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. With the win over Yellowstone, the Knights improved to 43-25.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Ed Putty came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Yellowstone pitcher Chris Wilson, he hit a first pitch curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Brooklyn on top, 3-2.

"I felt like I had pretty good command of mostly everything," said Deere.
