Pizzas Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Pittsburgh Yinzers and Detroit Pizzas.

In a low-scoring contest between the Detroit Pizzas and the Pittsburgh Yinzers, Nate Spinks, who leads the AL in wins with 9, proved to be the difference. The Detroit right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Pizzas win. The winner was Spinks. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Brian Collins.
