Ki Tags Sabercats for 5 Hits
|
Ju-cheol Ki told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Ki of the Tucson Ocelot did against the San Jose Sabercats. He went to the plate 8 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a defeat, 8-5.
"Not much I can say," offered Ki in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?"
Ju-cheol Ki flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 12th, walked in the 14th, flied out in the 16th and singled in the 19th.
In the 2049 season Ki is hitting .279 with 4 home runs.
