The Yellowstone Super Volcano picked up a win at Volcano Ballpark, taking down the Detroit Pizzas, 2-1. Starting pitcher Justin Kowalick was a big reason why. Kowalick got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Getting the save was Kurat Feyzioglu, his 20th.

Had Josh George not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, George hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Super Volcano.

"Justin made the big pitches when he needed to," said Yellowstone manager GM AtticaOnline.

Yellowstone has now won 4 straight.
