The East Haddam Hyenas beat the Osaka Takoyaki by a score of 9-3. East Haddam center fielder Dave Bland deserved the lion's share of the credit. Bland went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hyenas. After today's action, East Haddam sits at 20-43, while Osaka falls to 26-38.

In the bottom of the second, former first round draft pick Ben Dean hit a 2-run home run. The 7th home run of the season for the East Haddam shortstop put the Hyenas on top, 2-0.
