Dragon Warriors Lose, 4-3, in 13
|
The Los Angeles Kings and Hanoi Dragon Warriors rewarded fans hoping for a nail-biter.
The Los Angeles Kings did just enough to nip the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 4-3, in 13 innings. Los Angeles pitcher Dan Elliott, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner was Jeremy Valentine in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Dan O'Meara took the loss.
The Kings got a clutch hit from second baseman Eric Heckman. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Kings.
"This game showed the grit and grind of our guys," said Heckman.
The win elevated the Kings to 32-31.
