Knights Lose to Super Volcano in Walk-Off
|
The Yellowstone Super Volcano rode a solid performance from 31-year-old starting pitcher Art Madsen to a win, beating the Brooklyn Knights, 2-1, at Volcano Ballpark. The win was credited to Ryan Podolsky in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Brian Masse took the loss. Yellowstone goes to 37-25. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.
The decisive blow was delivered by Andres Jaquez in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Brian Masse to win the game for Yellowstone. The home crowd went nuts.
"Art executed his pitches at a high level," said Yellowstone manager GM AtticaOnline.
