At Sugardome II, the Havana Sugar Kings and Hanoi Dragon Warriors were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Hanoi Dragon Warriors racked up a win at Sugardome II, bumping off the Havana Sugar Kings, 5-2. Aaron Wierzba, who started for Hanoi, pitched effectively for his team. Wierzba, the winner, moves to 6-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks.

The Dragon Warriors had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 5-2, Hanoi, with one out. Havana, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Tony Anaya dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 splitter, he struck out.

The first-place Dragon Warriors lifted their record to 34-28.
