The Buffalo Buffalo topped the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 4-2, in Alliance League action at The Greenhouse. The standout performance belonged to Buffalo pitcher and Hayward, California, native Jimmy Miller. Buffalo reliever Josh Pierce was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Gabriel Fragoso took the loss. Buffalo goes to 34-28. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.

The Dragon Warriors had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Buffalo going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old shortstop Rey Pina came to the plate. Pina hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 fastball from Hanoi hurler Gabriel Fragoso. It was Pina's 10th double of the year.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Miller. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
