Archies Suffer 4-3 Loss to Chicks
|
The Memphis Chicks picked up a win at Russwood Park, dropping the St. Louis Archies, 4-3. Billy Roland, who finished 5th in the FL in innings pitched with 217.0 in 2047, was the difference-maker. Matt Schille, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2040 draft, was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-3. The losing pitcher was Kyle Sanchez. After today's action, Memphis sits at 27-32, while St. Louis falls to 36-23.
Memphis grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Setsujiro Takahashi delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3, in favor of the Chicks.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth, "let me know."
