Portland registered a win at Beavers Park by beating the St. Louis Archies, 3-2. Pitcher Chris Duffy was one reason why the Beavers triumphed. Andy Buhrke was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 20 save opportunities. The loss makes St. Louis 37-23.

Duffy gave Portland a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 6 hits over 8 innings.
