Sportsman's Park was the site of a competitive game between the Los Angeles Kings and Portland Beavers.
The Portland Beavers bested the Los Angeles Kings, 4-2, at Sportsman's Park. Matt Lamons was one of the standouts. He went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. Portland now has a record of 35-24 with the win.
Portland used the timely hitting of Luke Spradley to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Beavers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Portland skipper GM admiralballtr8s.
