The Arizona Desert Storm defeated the East Haddam Hyenas, 15-3, at Desert Storm Stadium. Leading the charge for Arizona was first baseman Kenichi Kanzaki. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ronaldo Sardinha picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-9. He struck out 5 in 5 innings. Jay Marshall picked up the save for Arizona, his 1st of the year.

The Desert Storm got a big hit from second baseman Chris Odeneal. Facing East Haddam pitcher Justin Madsen in the bottom of the fifth, Odeneal pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 5th home run of the season put the Desert Storm ahead, 11-3.

"Give them credit," said losing manager Joe Jankowski. "They stayed relentless and kept putting it on us."

The win gives Arizona a season record of 83-79.
