Sportsman's Park was the site of a tense game between the Los Angeles Kings and Yellowstone Super Volcano.
The Yellowstone Super Volcano stymied the Los Angeles Kings, 3-1, at Sportsman's Park. Travis Kinnard had a good day at the plate. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs for Yellowstone. Picking up his 42nd save was three-time All-Star Kurat Feyzioglu.
With Yellowstone leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Kinnard hit a fastball from Toby Guinn for a 2-run double. It was his 38th double of the season and put the Super Volcano ahead, 3-0.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Kinnard said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
Yellowstone is 98-64 and Los Angeles, with the loss, 77-85.
