Knights Notch 6-1 Win Versus Kings
Spirited fans greeted the Los Angeles Kings for their clash with the Brooklyn Knights.

Los Angeles had no answer for 23-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Smith. The Brooklyn Knights starter stymied Kings hitters, helping the Knights cruise to victory, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Smith, now 10-7. He tossed 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6.

John Espinosa had a big 3-run home run for the Knights in the top of the sixth inning. With Brooklyn leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 26-year old right fielder Brian Matthews and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Knights on top, 6-0.

"Alex has got a slow heartbeat," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang. "He doesn't panic or anything."

Brooklyn's record now stands at 90-72, placing them second in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
