The St. Louis Archies got a good effort from starter Jim Harrington in defeating the Kyiv Cossacks at Team2 Ballpark. The final score was 10-2. The first-place Archies have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

Rich Reis had a big bases-clearing double for the Archies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With St. Louis leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Zachery DeShields, who is on pace for 214 strikeouts this season, and swatted a double to center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Archies ahead, 6-0.

"We didn't help ourselves, it's as simple as that," said losing manager Boris Lahutin.
