Brymer, Pizzas March to 6-3 Victory
The Detroit Pizzas trumped the East Haddam Hyenas, 6-3, at Pizzas Ballpark. Detroit catcher Byron Brymer was terrific. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Detroit reliever Ed Pike was the winner. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Steve Ashcraft. Picking up the save was former first round draft pick George Liston.

Brymer had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 curveball from Steve Ashcraft, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Pizzas a 4-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Brymer.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Brymer.

With the win, Detroit upped its record to 31-28.
