Hay Hands Osaka 5-1 Loss
|
The St. Louis Archies downed the Osaka Takoyaki, 5-1, at Team2 Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Spencer Hay had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who led the FL in ERA with 3.22 in 2047, handcuffed his opponent all game. The first-place Archies improved to 99-59.
Hay, who leaned on his cutter, allowed 1 run on just 3 hits over 8 innings for the Archies. For the most part, Osaka hitters were simply overmatched.
"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Hay.
