Kings Topple Pizzas with Late Rally
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Pizzas.

The Los Angeles Kings got a marvelous performance from pitcher Steve Wilkerson. The right-hander kept the Detroit offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 7-2 Los Angeles victory at Sportsman's Park. Los Angeles now sits at 57-101, while Detroit falls to 90-68.

Lugh Hughes was 1-3 with a walk for Los Angeles. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Hughes had a clutch at-bat. Facing Detroit hurler Jose Bautista, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Kings a 3-2 lead.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Wilkerson after the game.
