The Osaka Takoyaki defeated the Waikiki Wayfinders, 7-6, at Ballpark of Honolulu. Osaka was led by 22-year old left fielder Jon Pegoretti, who went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Jeremy Myers picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tim Pettit suffered the loss. The loss puts Waikiki at 1-4.

Pegoretti had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 cutter from Tim Pettit, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Takoyaki a 7-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Pegoretti.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Pegoretti.
