Super Volcano Beat Visiting Beavers, 3-1

The Yellowstone Super Volcano got a stellar effort from pitcher Jim Davis, helping Yellowstone score a win over the visiting Portland Beavers, 3-1. The winner was Davis. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Jeff Thibault. Ryan Podolsky sewed up the save, his 17th.
The Super Volcano had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Yellowstone, with one out. Portland, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. David Terkeurst dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 fastball, he flied out.
Yellowstone's record now stands at 96-62, placing them first in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.
