The Brooklyn Knights banked on Alex Smith and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Buffalo hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Knights. Tanner Denny notched his 35th save in 41 chances. The Knights raised their record to 89-68.
The Knights got a big at-bat from right fielder Daniel Lucio. For the game, Lucio was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 29th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-0 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Lucio.
