Kings Absorb 4-1 Home Loss
|
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs topped the Los Angeles Kings, 4-1, in Federation League action at Sportsman's Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sudbury designated hitter Josh Deere. In 7.2 innings, Deere surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The second-place Blueberry Bulldogs have a record of 29-30.
Making an impact for Sudbury was right fielder Orlando Cuenca. He drilled a double off Cody Bishop in the top of the first. For the game, Cuenca went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles.
"Winning never gets dull," said Cuenca.
