Cossacks Win, Hernandez has 5 RBI

Kyiv and Brooklyn duked it out and the Cossacks came out victorious.
With catcher Jorge Hernandez leading the charge, the Kyiv Cossacks defeated the Brooklyn Knights, 8-5, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Hernandez, who is a two-time All-Star, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Kyiv reliever Julio Salaiz picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Tanner Denny absorbed the loss.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Hernandez delivered big-time for Kyiv, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off John MacMullen. The game-changing hit put the Cossacks on top, 8-5.
"We take it day by day here," said Hernandez, "and today was a good one for us."
The win gives Kyiv a season record of 34-24.
