The Osaka Takoyaki overcame a good performance by Arizona shortstop Joe Gainey to knock off Arizona, 8-5, at Takoyaki Park. Gainey belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Earning his 35th save for Osaka was Daniel Forsyth. Osaka now owns a record of 73-84.

Mike Hernandez helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Takoyaki.
