Yellowstone Beats Portland, 5-1

Jack Frick, who is tied for 5th in the AL with a 3.54 ERA, propelled his team to victory over the Portland Beavers. The final score was 5-1, Yellowstone. Frick got the win, improving to 12-12. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The Super Volcano saw their win-loss record go to 69-87. At the same time, the Beavers fell to 80-76.
Yellowstone second baseman Andres Jaquez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 145th hit of the season and put the Super Volcano ahead, 2-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Frick told the Yellowstone Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
