Hyenas Upend Knights, 8-7
|
A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Vladsislas Wanzha, who leads the FL in home runs with 15, led the East Haddam Hyenas to a win over the Brooklyn Knights, 8-7. John Motz picked up the save for East Haddam, his 2nd of the year. The Hyenas now have a record of 24-34 with the win over Brooklyn.
Dave Bland, who finished 4th in the FL in RBI with 99 in 2045, aided the East Haddam cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Bland. "But I have better dreams after a win."
