Chad Edwards, who finished 4th in the AL in ERA with 3.27 last year, had a strong outing for the Detroit Pizzas against the Brooklyn Knights at Pizzas Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-0 win. The winning pitcher was Edwards, now 8-8. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Detroit has now won 5 in a row.

Chris Adams hit a run-scoring double off Brian Williams in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Pizzas in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Adams had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
