Hyenas Get Past Kyiv, 7-6
Led by Matthew Kalb, the East Haddam Hyenas defeated the Kyiv Cossacks, 7-6, in 10 innings. Kalb was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hyenas. East Haddam reliever Justin Kennedy picked up the win, while Kurat Feyzioglu took the loss for Kyiv. The 'W' lifts East Haddam's record to 63-92.

East Haddam used a timely hit from 25-year old second baseman Adam Haglund to get the win. The second baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hyenas on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was huge.

In postgame remarks, Kalb simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
