Hyenas Rally to Nose Past Lansing
The East Haddam Hyenas needed 10 innings to beat the Lansing Red Storm, 10-9, at Ballpark of East Haddam. Matt McCauley, for one, had a fine performance. He was 5 for 6 with a home run and 4 singles, while scoring 3. Amari Smith came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 7-9. The last-place Hyenas have won 5 straight.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, McCauley hit a fastball from Kane Tulk for a solo home run. The Hyenas, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said McCauley. "You've got to get results."
