Art Madsen, who finished 2nd in the AL in saves with 43 in 2048, was locked in. The right-hander led the Yellowstone Super Volcano to a 4-3 win against the Buffalo Buffalo at Volcano Ballpark. Carlos Castaneda came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 6-0. Yellowstone, at 34-23, is 4 games up in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.

Yellowstone took a 4-2 lead on Ricardo Bermudez's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Bermudez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher Randy Nelson visibly frustrated.
