The Arizona Scorpions defeated the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 8-2, at Beavers Park. Leading the charge for Arizona was right fielder Ben Potgeter. He went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The setback makes Wilmington 26-30.

With Arizona leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Potgeter came up to bat against Wilmington pitcher Sam Davis. Potgeter hit a slider to left-center for a bases-clearing double. His 13th double of the season put the Scorpions on top, 5-0.

Potgeter called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
