|
Arizona got a terrific performance from pitcher Ronaldo Sardinha, but it wasn't enough to beat the Dublin Porters. Dublin won the Porters Ballpark contest, 4-1. Sardinha threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Dublin reliever Evan King got the win, raising his record to 7-6. Esteban Vega was tagged with the loss. Dublin has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
Dublin took the lead, 2-1, on Travis Perez's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Arizona pitcher Esteban Vega in the bottom of the eighth.
"It's fun to come to the yard every day when you're winning," said Dublin manager Hannah Porter.
