Super Volcano Rally Late to Nip Beavers
The Yellowstone Super Volcano picked up a win at Volcano Ballpark, knocking off the Portland Beavers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Justin Kowalick was a big reason why. The win went to Chris Wilson in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Jason Scothorn took the loss. Yellowstone now sits at 67-86, while Portland falls to 79-74.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 24-year old second baseman Justin Shore had a chance to be the hero. Portland pitcher Ray Barber wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Shore hit a sacrifice fly. The Super Volcano had themselves a thrilling win.

"Justin pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Yellowstone manager GM AtticaOnline.
