Havana shortstop Mike Hieronymus contributed significantly to his team's 8-7 win over the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Hieronymus, who finished 2nd in the AL in triples with 6 in 2049, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Sugar Kings. The setback makes Wilmington 72-80.

Omar Valdivia helped out the Havana cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4 with a double.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Hieronymus.
