Red Storm Walk It Off for 55th Win of Season
|
A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Ryan Isaac, who is tied for 9th in the FL in triples with 3, led the Lansing Red Storm to a win over the Kyiv Cossacks, 5-3. The setback makes Kyiv 72-80.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Lansing trailing 3-2, Isaac jumped on a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jimmy Gold and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Red Storm had a walk-off win.
Lansing manager GM TDen commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
