Hyenas Victorious at Memphis, 6-5
|
Memphis left fielder Sam Clark was sensational. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. East Haddam beat the Chicks, 6-5. The losing streak for Memphis has now reached 4 games.
East Haddam used a clutch at-bat from Vladsislas Wanzha to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Hyenas ahead, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Wanzha said.
