The Buffalo Buffalo, despite a fine performance by Havana pitcher John Hoover, grabbed a 2-1 win at The Greenhouse. Hoover allowed no runs over 8 innings. After today's action, Buffalo sits at 71-80, while Havana falls to 83-68.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Buffalo center fielder Jordan Acosta, facing Kurat Feyzioglu, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Buffalo the 2-1 win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Acosta said.
