Beavers Win Nail-Biter in 13
The Portland Beavers beat the Brooklyn Knights, 8-7, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Oscar Hernandez, who finished 5th in the AL in wins above replacement with 5.0 in 2048, starred for Portland. He went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 times. The Beavers are now 82-68.

Portland used the timely hitting of Wayne Wilbur to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Beavers on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant GM admiralballtr8s, the Portland manager.
