The performance of Jerry Rodriguez proved critical in helping St. Louis beat East Haddam, 7-5, in 13 innings. The Archies second baseman went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2. St. Louis reliever Kyle Sanchez got the win, raising his record to 12-4. Dan Coffman was tagged with the loss. St. Louis is now 91-58, 15 games up in the Federation League Birdbrains Division.

Danny Cuello came through with a big-time hit for St. Louis. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Cuello.
