The Portland Beavers powered past the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 9-4, at The Nest. Greg Lee threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 run, to lead the charge. The first-place Beavers, at 77-72, now lead their division by 7½ games.

Sergio Garced had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the first for Portland. With the bases loaded and the Beavers leading 1-0, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Garced told the Portland Citizen.
