The Arizona Desert Storm topped the Lansing Red Storm, 5-2, in Federation League action at Desert Storm Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Arizona pitcher and Barcelona, Venezuela, native Ronaldo Sardinha. Arizona raised its record to 87-61 with the win.

Jay Marshall hit a 2-run triple off Manny Baez in the bottom of the third, which put the Desert Storm in front, 2-1. In addition to the triple, Marshall had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Arizona manager GM Fetty.
