Buffalo 5-4 Victors Over Brooklyn
|
The Brooklyn Knights could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Manny Aguayo into a win. Instead, the Buffalo Buffalo prevailed, 5-4. Aguayo threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Buffalo pitcher Andy Pittman got the win, upping his record to 10-14. Manny Aguayo got the loss. Buffalo is now 69-80, Brooklyn 74-74.
Matt Nagy had a big 2-run home run for the Buffalo in the top of the third inning. With Buffalo leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from two-time All-Star Manny Aguayo and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Buffalo on top, 3-0.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Nagy said.
