Los Angeles Beats Wilmington, 6-3

Beavers Park was the site for Alliance League action featuring the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Los Angeles Kings.
The Los Angeles Kings picked up a win at Beavers Park, taking down the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 6-3. Starting pitcher Toby Guinn was a big reason why. In 7.2 innings, Guinn surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Eric Barone got the save, his 37th in 41 chances.
Los Angeles used the stroke of Travis Kinnard to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Kings ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Guinn.
Los Angeles is 82-66 and Wilmington, with the loss, 70-78.
