The Osaka Takoyaki beat the Kyiv Cossacks, 15-5, at Kyiv Grounds. Mike Hernandez, who finished 3rd in the FL in on-base percentage with .379 in 2050, starred for Osaka. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Picking up the win was Matt Schille. He went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 11 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 3. The Takoyaki improved their record to 76-71 with the win over Kyiv.

The Takoyaki got a big hit from right fielder Jon Pegoretti. Facing Kyiv pitcher Travis Provenza in the top of the fifth, Pegoretti pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 22nd home run of the season put the Takoyaki ahead, 10-1.

"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager Boris Lahutin.
