The Buffalo Buffalo defeated the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 4-2. Left Fielder Nick Koonts deserved a large share of the credit. Koonts went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 for the Buffalo. Buffalo reliever Randy Nelson picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Jack Frick was saddled with the loss. Buffalo now sits at 28-28, while Yellowstone falls to 33-23.

Buffalo used the timely hitting of Emilio Nin to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Buffalo on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Koonts.
