Knights Suffer 7-5 Loss to Osaka
|
The Brooklyn Knights could not turn a fine performance from left fielder John Baccari into a win. Instead, the Osaka Takoyaki prevailed, 7-5. Baccari was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Daniel Forsyth earned the save, his 25th. The Knights, now 67-79, have lost 4 straight.
Steve Barone hit a run-scoring double off Mike Rodriguez in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Takoyaki in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Barone had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Barone told the Osaka Times. "It's as simple as that."
