Gainey Powers Desert Storm Offense
Arizona center fielder Joe Gainey contributed significantly to his team's 10-4 win over the Waikiki Wayfinders. Gainey, who finished 5th in the FL in hits with 180 last year, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Desert Storm. Arizona is now 66-80, Waikiki 58-87.

Gainey contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Arizona get the win.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Gainey.
