Wilmington and Detroit duked it out and the Blue Rocks came out victorious.

Jason Scothorn, who finished 2nd in the AL in innings pitched with 238.1 in 2050, was locked in. The right-hander led the Wilmington Blue Rocks to a 3-0 win against the Detroit Pizzas at Pizzas Ballpark. Rodolfo Merlos converted his 33rd save in 43 tries.

Scothorn allowed no runs on 5 hits over 7.2 innings for the Blue Rocks. He walked 1 and struck out 11.
